TAC Mission Statement

We are the Trauma Association of Canada, a multi-disciplinary Society of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Who:

• strive to improve the quality of care provided to the injured patient, including pre-hospital management and transport, acute care hospitalization, and reintegration into society, 

• support, conduct, and apply basic science, clinical and outcome research related to trauma,

• encourage effective and efficient use of health care resources in the delivery of trauma care, and 

• foster professional and community education in the field of injury prevention and in the care of the injured patient.

For physicians and surgeons, allied health care professionals and the Canadian community at large;

In order to reduce the incidence of injury, ensure optimal care of the injured patient, and provide leadership in collaboration with other health care providers, agencies, and individuals.
